SPIRIT Adventures Day Camp

June 9 – July 29, 2009 (No Program June 11 and July 3)
Registration Deadline: June 5, 2009
6am – 6pm (Be on site by 7am)

SPIRIT Adventures Day Camp is designed to accommodate the more independent and adventurous camper. Every session includes a variety of activities such as surfing, sailing, kayaking, team-building initiatives and different disciplines of dancing and cooking. Adventurers also have the chance to reconnect with old friends and forge new relationships, in a safe and interdependent environment.

Rates:
Weeks 1 & 8..........$120/week (No program June 11)
Week 2-7...............$200/week (No program July 3)

Please bring a home lunch.

Transportation included from: Hahaione Elementary, Kokokahi YWCA, Laniakea YWCA, Mililani Tech Park, or Waimalu Elementary

SPIRIT Adventures Residential Camp

Location: Camp Timberline

Dates & Rates:
Week 1, June 15 - 19..........$300/week
Week 2, June 29 - July 2.....$300/week (No program July 3)
Week 4, July 20 - July 24....$300/week

Activities include: Ropes course challenges & initiatives, hiking, swimming, kayaking, team-building, campfires, excursions and more!

Transportation: Included from Hahaione Elementary, Kokokahi YWCA, Laniakea YWCA, Mililani Tech Park, Waimalu Elementary

*Drop-off is Mondays at 7am
*Pick-up is Fridays from 4pm - 6pm

Meals: Please bring a lunch for the first day. All other meals are included.

Counselors-In-Training

June 15 – July 24, 2009 (No Program July 3)
6am – 6pm (Program starts at 8am)

Our C.I.T program is the perfect blend of self-esteem building, leadership training, and friendly fun. Work side by side with a trained Kama‘aina Kids camp counselor, while becoming a role model fr the younger member of our camp community. C.I.T’s will also take weekly outings, giving each C.I.T an opportunity to develop new relationships with campers of their own age.

Surf Camp Hawaii

SURF CAMP HAWAII offers youth 10-16 the ultimate in summer surfing lessons on Oahu's world-famous North Shore. You can learn to surf in Hawaii from local surf instructors.

Camp provides an unique opportunity to learn to surf in Hawaii, where “the sport of Kings” was originally born. Our local staff has developed an intimate relationship with the ocean, frequenting some of the most well-know surf spots for years, and are the perfect guides to share this truly authentic Hawaiian experience with you. Instruction is provided by experienced, certified and safety-oriented mentors. No other surf camp can compare to the local roots that Surf Camp Hawaii provides.

Session 1: Nature Camp

Dates: June 14 – 19
Ages 10-15

Come experience nature at its finest at a week-long overnight camp!
Highlights include scenic hikes; planting a sustainable vegetable garden;
adopting the 3 R’s (reduce, recycle, reuse); excursions to Ka‘ala Farms and
more. Campers will also enjoy swimming, archery, basketball, climbing wall,
high and low ropes courses, campfires and leadership activities. The week
culminates with a family dinner where campers share what they learned
throughout the week.

Session 2: The Artist in You

Dates: June 21 – 26
Ages 11-17

Come discover the artist in you at a week-long overnight camp! Each camper
has a chance to express himself/herself and grow as an individual on the
stage. Highlights include classes in fine arts and crafts, dance, singing and
theater. An excursion to historic Haleiwa Town is planned to explore local art
galleries and a visit with local artist Ron Artist. Campers will also enjoy swimming,
archery, basketball, climbing wall, high and low ropes courses, campfires
and leadership activities. The week ends with a showcase of performances by
the young artists at the closing family dinner party.

Session 3: A Timberline Adventures

Dates: July 12-17
Ages 10-15

Come experience a real adventure at a week-long overnight camp! Each
camper will be backpacking on daily hikes atop the Waianae Valley; learning and
practicing outdoor living skills; kayaking and sleeping in a real WWII bunker.
Campers will also enjoy swimming, archery, basketball, golf, high and low ropes
courses, campfires and leadership activities. The culminating event ends with a
family dinner where campers share their experiences of the week.
