Bishop Museum’s Camp Ed-Venture

June 15 – July 24, 2009 (No Program July 3)
6am – 6pm (Program begins at 8am)

Grades K-6 completed

Science and Fun converge at Bishop Museum, with Camp Ed-Venture, powered by Kama‘aina Kids. Each day holds a new discovery as campers explore the fun side of science through a combination of hands-on experiments and experiential excursions.

Camp Ed-Venture includes daily access to the Science Adventure Center and the summer’s newest exhibit, Backyard Monsters, featuring six giant-sized moving robotic insects. From the chills of a 12-foot tarantula to the drama of two Atlas Beetles fighting it out to the grace and beauty of a giant Monarch Butterfly, the animatronic creatures of Backyard Monsters bring the often-secret world of insects vividly to life.

Cost:$185/week (6am – 6pm)
Lunch: Additional $25/week

Camp Cirque (For Grades K-8)

June 15 – July 24, 2009 (No Program July 3)
6am – 6pm (Program begins at 8am)

Grades K-8 completed (Space is limited)

Lights! Sound! Action! Balance! Juggle! Fly! Spin! Flip! Fun! Kids, in partnership with Cirque Hawaii, presents an incredible opportunity for children of all ages to learn the skills seen at Cirque du Soleil, The Lion King and other great theatrical performances.

This on-site program is an experience designed to introduce children to circus arts, as well as performing and visual arts in a safe and noncompetitive environment. Campers will learn alongside the actual performers, in the same theatre and on the same apparatuses used by Hawaii’s leading professional circus.

Drop off/Pick up locations: Enchanted Lake Elementary (announced on 5/27/09)
Cost: $220/week (6am – 6pm)
Lunch: Please bring a home lunch
Transportation: Additional $50/week from Hahaione Elementary, Kokokahi YWCA, Laniakea YWCA, Mililani Tech Park, Waimalu Elementary




Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park

Da Flowrider Surf Camp

June 15 – July 24, 2009 (No Program July 3)

Looking for the BIG rides and BIGGER thrills? Catch the latest and greatest water rides in Hawaii at Da Flowrider Surf Camp, powered by Kama`aina Kids and Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park. Each session includes a variety of activities, including: individual sessions on Da Flowrider, swimming lessons or junior lifeguard classes, access to the BIGGEST water slides in Hawaii, and a weekly tee-time at the Island Adventure miniature golf course.

Sea Life Park Jr. Animal Trainer Program (For Grades K-6)

June 15 – July 24, 2009 (No Program July 3)
6am-6pm (program starts at 8am)
Registration Deadline: June 5, 2009

Grades K-6 completed (Limited to 40 campers per week)

This summer, join Kama‘aina Kids at Sea Life Park, and discover the wonders of the ocean. It’s the perfect opportunity to snorkel with stingrays, splash around with dolphin, or shake a tail-feather in the bird sanctuary.

Each day holds a new adventure for young campers, as they get a first-hand experience of what it’s like to be an animal trainer at Sea Life Park.

Drop off/Pick up locations: Sea Life Park
Cost: $200/week (6am – 6pm)
Lunch: Additional $25/week
Transportation: Additional $50/week from Hahaione Elementary, Kokokahi YWCA, Laniakea YWCA, Mililani Tech Park, Waimalu Elementary


Supersize

June 15 – July 24, 2009 (No Program July 3)
Registration Deadline: June 5, 2009
6am – 6pm (Program begins at 8am)
Grades 2-7 completed (Limited to 60 campers)

Looking for the biggest summer thrills? Then go Super Size and do it all! Swimming, surfing, miniature golf, sailing and even dolphins. Our Super Size program combines all Specialty Camps into one 6-week, super experience.

Drop-Off/Pick-Up: Hahaione Elem., Kokokahi YWCA, Laniakea YWCA, Mililani, or Waimalu Elem.
Cost: $1200 for 6 weeks all inclusive
Lunch: Additional $25/week
Transportation: From Hahaione Elementary, Kokokahi YWCA, Laniakea YWCA, Mililani Tech Park, Waimalu Elementary included.




SPIRIT Adventures Day Camp

June 9 – July 29, 2009 (No Program June 11 and July 3)
Registration Deadline: June 5, 2009
6am – 6pm (Be on site by 7am)
Grades 5 – 8 Completed
Program highlights

Cost: Weeks 1 & 8: $120/week,  Weeks 2-7: $200/week
Lunch: Please bring a home lunch

Transportation: From Hahaione Elementary, Kokokahi YWCA, Laniakea YWCA, Mililani Tech Park, Waimalu Elementary included.
